Our Story

The Foundation was created with a clear purpose: to give back meaningfully to the community that KOKO is a part of. From pioneering environmental initiatives to expanding access to music and the arts for young people, we’re proud to be driving real, lasting change. This progress is made possible through the generosity and belief of our partners, donors, and supporters, who we are thankful to share this journey with. Together, we’re building something that truly reflects our shared values and commitment to a better future.”

The KOKO Foundation

KOKO has been at the heart of Camden’s vibrant culture for over 120 years, and that legacy continues with the KOKO Foundation, a registered charity committed to changing lives and creating transformative opportunities.

We are taking direct, positive action through a number of Camden-first, music focused and environmentally charged community initiatives and meaningful partnerships, which truly make an impact.

Already, we have contributed to an estimated 40% of new trees in Camden, established the borough’s first fruit orchards and run immersive music academies with Grammy award-winner Sacha Skarbek and Mercury prize-winner, Femi Koleoso. Over 300 established trees and 2,400 young whips have been planted, four wildflower meadows laid, and 180 Beeline Boxes filled with evergreen herbs installed on local estates. Each of these projects is nurtured by our KOKO Foresters, a growing team of young residents who we train and employ, creating new career pathways and instilling a lifelong love of nature.

And we’re only just getting started! Our focus is on bold, pioneering projects designed to be scalable, with the ambition of expanding our positive impact across London and beyond.

London has an incredible cultural legacy – nowhere more so than Camden. We feel privileged to champion future generations, and foster happier, healthier environments.
