An opportunity to inspire the next generation
Testament to the difference a day can make, our pilot Day of Inspiration was curated in partnership with KOKO Foundation Ambassador, Olivia Colman, who joined us on the day alongside screenwriter and producer, Ed Sinclair.
Together we welcomed disadvantaged young people to KOKO for an immersive journey into the world of film, designed to spark enthusiasm for the myriad careers opportunities in the industry – beyond being the star on stage. From behind-the-scenes tours of KOKO, to speed insight sessions with industry experts and filmmaking workshops, the day was a vibrant crash course in creativity.
Having captured and starred in their own short films, the day ended with a live theatre show in KOKO and a shared dinner together to reflect on the day and foster new friendships and connection. Participants left with full hearts – and bags packed with goodies to inspire their onward creativity. It was a privilege to witness their joy, ambition and confidence grow throughout the day; a powerful reminder of the importance of inspiring future generations to pursue their creative potential.
